SNOW DAYS!

Okay, as of now (7:51 AM on 2-4-10) we have had 5 snow days. I hope we make it today because later today and tomorrow don't sound real promising. I thought it would be fun to post what you do on a snow day. So far my snow days have consisted of cleaning, laundry, working at school, baking, reading (of course), playing outside in it, Skyping, and scooping. What is everyone else doing?

  1. I know what you mean about the snow days! It is a lot easier for us to make them up because we don't have school on Fridays so Fridays are our make up days. We will still get out at the same time at the end of the year. I heard you called school off for the day. We had a late start and now everything has melted but it's supposed to snow later. Personally, it doesn't bother me if the kids are home because that means I don't have to drive anywhere! I am cleaning, working on scrip for our school, working on fun and function things, and reading to Reagan since he is determined to read "600 million minutes" For their read a million minutes program! He can read many words himself which is great - it is so fun to watch them read their first words.

  2. I would say that my snowdays have been pretty productive. One day I rearranged/reorganized my kitchen cupboards. It has been fun watching Dave and Derrick try to find things, although i will say that we are all getting on to where things are. Another day I did some thorough cleaning and major laundry! All good to have done but I am ready to move on to other projects. Just need some more snow days!

  3. At this point it is looking like a possibility of snow day number 7!!! Ugh!! Hannah is hoping and praying for it because she wants to experience year around school!!!! As for me...if we are home tomorrow it will be cleaning, cleaning, cleaning!!!! We are starting upstairs with the bedrooms and the vacuum cleaner will be our friend!!!! OOOhhhh--I feel a snow day coming.....almost sends chills down my spine--Hannah thinks I've lost it!!! Of course, we are probably the only people in the world blogging during the Super Bowl...but of course, who really cares. Who's playing this year anyway--oh yeah, I guess the Saints came marching today!!!! Go Saints!! (I just decided to be a Saints Fan!!!) Later---smiles!

  4. I'm sick of snow days!! It's like a really long 4 letter word. We put a little magnet up on the white board in our room next to the snow days tally marks -- it is going to be our good luck charm to ward off anymore snow days. It was made by one of my students, Devin. He and his mom are so crafty!! I think I should enlist her help for when I have art. Not only am I a tech boob, I'm also an art boob!!

  5. WOW!!! A whole week without a snow day. Gee, when was the last time that happened? Of course, if we hadn't had President's Day off, it probably would have been a snow day. Not sure what the forecast is for next week, but I like seeing some melting going on.
