Graduation!

With three graduations in this family this year, I thought the graduates mom's would like to share their thoughts and how they "survived" the graduation. We felt bad having to miss Seth and Allison's because of dance recital! So proud of these kids and their accomplishments! Can you believe our kids are getting older? Guess that means we are too. (Nah!)

SNOW DAYS!

Okay, as of now (7:51 AM on 2-4-10) we have had 5 snow days. I hope we make it today because later today and tomorrow don't sound real promising. I thought it would be fun to post what you do on a snow day. So far my snow days have consisted of cleaning, laundry, working at school, baking, reading (of course), playing outside in it, Skyping, and scooping. What is everyone else doing?

Service Projects!

Okay sisters--start thinking about a service project for ALL of us to be involved in between now and Dec. 31, 2010. There are so many opportunities out there that I think we will find we want to organize more than one for each of us (that might not sound right because we will actually be involved in each others, which makes us doing at least 6!). I'm thinking snow scooping could be an option, considering the amount we have, but not sure we are all up for back surgery!!! Let's really think outside the box on this one--think local as well as global. And hey, how about t-shirts? I think we need some printed up to wear when we are doing our sisters service projects or on our outings as sisters. What color do we prefer? Let me know and I can take care of this. Start thinking and let's get started serving others!

Chapter One: Book Club

We had our annual "sisters Christmas" get together and Lindsey came up with a GREAT idea. This of course led to another great idea--well, let me explain. I am one of 5 girls in our family--we also have one brother who has a delightful wife who is sister number 6. We love getting together just us girls to laugh and share and usually eat also. Well, Lindsey brought out the wrapped books and challenged us all to take one. We will all have one month to read our book and then pass it on to the next sister. I'm not sure if I got lucky, but everyone seemed like they wanted the book I chose. Deb will get mine next. I have started reading it and I think it will be a good one. Chapter Two of The Sisters Project will be Serving Others where we all choose a service project. I'm not sure what I am going to choose but I have a few in mind. I hope each of the other sisters will be able to add posts to this site also. If you are reading, please feel free to comment too. This will be a great adventure for all of us--I even have a few surprises in store (I'm sure the sisters do to).
